Our Committee

Our pre-school thrives on the support and involvement of parents. Joining the committee is a great way to:

  • Meet other parents and be part of a friendly community
  • Share your skills and ideas to help shape the pre-school
  • Support your child’s early education in a meaningful way

We’d love to welcome new faces to the committee! Check out our welcome letter from the Chair or speak with Sarah, the manager, to find out the date of our next meeting. You’re welcome to attend for a trial visit.

What Does the Committee Do?

Bar Hill Pre-School is a registered charity, managed by a parent-led committee responsible for:

  • Employing and paying staff
  • Managing the pre-school’s finances
  • Ensuring high-quality childcare and education through key policies
  • Building a strong partnership between parents and the pre-school

The committee is elected each year at our annual general meeting in the autumn term. Our current chair, Kate Da Costa, can be contacted at chair@barhillpreschool.co.uk.

How Often Does the Committee Meet?

We meet at least once per half term to:

  • Discuss pre-school matters
  • Organise fundraising and social events
  • Allocate funds for new equipment
  • Ensure the smooth running of the pre-school

How Can You Get Involved?

We love it when parents take part! You can:

  • Join the committee
  • Help at fundraising and social events

If you’d like to chat with a committee member – whether before enrolling your child or at any time –please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Chair or any of our committee members.

We look forward to meeting you!
